Description

Colorado Midland Railroad, Denver and Rio Grande Railroad, and Union Pacific Railroad.

1890 T.P.A Convention silver pass.  A pass issued to the attendees of the 1890 T.P.A convention held in Colorado.  This pass entitled the bearer free passage on the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad, Colorado Midland Railroad, and the Union & Pacific Railroad. Good for the year 1890.

The pass features a train scene vignette along the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad.  The scene is from the Toltec Gorge which can still be seen today with a trip on the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad.  The attention to detail is noteworthy.  If you look closely, the locomotive is a class 4-6-0 which is exactly what the Denver and Rio Grande used as motive power for passenger trains along this section of the railroad.

The very bottom is engraved "Pure Colorado Silver".

An amazing piece of Colorado railroad history.

Beautiful patina and condition.
