Description

Rio Grande Southern Railroad.  Silverton Railroad.

Otto Mears silver filigree pass number 104 issued in 1892.  Issued to William Bayley (Also spelled Bailey).  Mr. Bayley ran a hardware store in Durango in the early years.  You can learn about this in the book "Many More Mountains", by Alan Nossaman, Volume 3, page 23. William was the brother of George Bailey who ran a drugstore in Silverton.

Hallmarked on the rear "S.Spitz Santa Fe".

An amazing piece of Colorado narrow gauge history.

Amazing condition with beautiful patina front and back.
