Description

St. Louis & South Western Railroad (Also known as the Cotton Belt)

Handlan Buck manufactured railroad lantern embossed on the lid "StLSWRR".  The frame has a baked on patina, molten brown with very light pitting and traces of old, gold paint under the lid, but solid and no issues to note.  Original top to bottom with the correct parts, including the Buck patented twist off font, burner and functioning wick included. One fatigue stress on the lid, common of Bucks from this era, even more so with Cotton Belt Bucks for some reason.

The globe is beautiful, Buck-shaped and a clear etched extended base version in the famous "Cotton Belt Route" cotton-ball logo. One chip along the bottom rim but is a no show in the frame. No cracks.
