Description

Conductors Lantern.  Manufactured by Adams and Westlake with 1868 dates.  This is the first/earliest style of lantern that has a slightly undersized globe and used a different type of "clip in" type fount which was later replaced with the more commonly seen screw in type.  The earlier style had a tendency to fall out the bottom.  This lantern had a shop repair to hold the fount in place so it is no longer removable.  Fount appears to have remnants of old gold paint.  Globe is beautiful and the harder to find smaller size.  Clear wheel cut marked F.P. Woollen.  The globe fits in the frame perfectly.
