Description

Eufaula Lumber Company.  Steam locomotive builders plate.  Lima Locomotive Works, construction number 3164, built February 1921, class two truck Shay, engine number 3.  Brass construction.  Measures 12-3/4" by 6-7/8".  Plate is 5/16" thick.  Nice curvature remains.  Some fatigue splits from service.  Lima serial number stamped faintly in three separate places on the plate.

The Eufaula Lumber Company operated in Western Washington, near the Oregon border, from 1915 to 1926.  This locomotive had a very storied history on operated on numerous logging railroads in the region.

Starting life as Eufaula Co. #3, she would later go on to serve the following roads:

- Eastern & Western Lumber Co., Lewis & Clark RR #3, Astoria, OR
- La Dee Log. Co. #3, Estacada, OR
- La Dee Log. Co. #3, Astoria, OR
- Sunset Log. Co. #3, Timber, OR
