Description

Carbon County Railway. Switch key.

The Carbon County Railway operated from 1922 to 1984. This Utah short line, only 4.79 miles in length, was built to connect the company's mines with the Denver and Rio Grade Western Railroad at a place called Columbia Junction. Columbia Junction was located on the Denver and Rio Grande Western's Sunnyside Branch. A very neat and rarely seen piece of history from this short line.
