Description

Colorado Midland Railroad.  Baldwin Locomotive Works Burnham Williams and Company.  Construction number 15131 built December 1896.  Class 2-8-0.  Engine Number 50.  This engine eventually ended up on the Midland Terminal Railway.  Plate measures 11-5/8" wide.  It appears 3 extra holes were made in the plate at one time, most likely by the railroad to accommodate pipe fittings on the boiler.  The holes have been patched very well.  The plate has excellent curvature.  A nice pre-1900 builders plate from a great Colorado railroad.
